Actions

[ACTIONS = <action> [,<action>]…]

The <actions> definition is a required purge/archive directives file element. It defines the actions to take.

The <action> value can be EXPORT, DELETE, EXPORT_REF, and/or GROUP.

• EXPORT – The object is exported as an object from the database. It will be listed as an OBJECT in the export file.
• DELETE – The object is deleted from the database when the purge is complete. This action is usually paired with EXPORT.

  Note: No objects will be deleted during an archive. ArchiveManager will only honor the DELETE action during a purge.

• EXPORT_REF – The object is exported as a reference from the database. It will be listed as a REFERENCE in the export file. EXPORT_REF cannot be paired with DELETE.
• GROUP – The data at that level and below is exported as a single transaction. The data will maintain this grouping in the export file, so that it can be reimported as a single transaction.
