Set Configuration Items

Review and set the configuration items in the appropriate DAT file, which can be modified with any text editor. After saving your changes, import the DAT file into the database as described in the Import the Data Files section.

File: admin_config.dat

Configuration Item Name

DEFAULT: i_value = 1

When creating new employees, does the user get added to the database

0 = no

1 = yes

Workgroup_Propagate

DEFAULT: str_value = always

When adding members to a workgroup, should the workgroup properties get propagated to the members?

Valid values: always, ask, never

File: admin_password_reset_config.dat

Description

UserPasswordResetUrl

The url where users go to set/reset their password

Examples:

for Dovetail Agent 5:

str_value = "http://server/user/password/reset/";

for Dovetail Agent 4:

str_value = "http://server/agent/login/resetPassword.asp?token=";

for Dovetail Mobile :

str_value = "http://server/mobile/Credential/ResetPassword?token=";
