Example

The example shows the adding of duplicate data to a list with the AllowDuplicates property turned on and off. Notice in the last example that the duplicate data is still in list with AllowDuplicates set to FALSE.

Visual Basic:

  Dim list As New FCList

  list.AppendItem 2, 3, 4, 5
  ' list now has the numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5

  list.AllowDuplicates = FALSE
  list.AppendItem 2
  ' list still has the numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 - duplicate 2 not added

  list.AllowDuplicates = TRUE
  list.AppendItem 2
  ' list has the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 and 2

  list.AllowDuplicates = FALSE
  list.AppendItem 1
  ' list still has the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 2 and 1
  ' notice that the duplicate 2 is still in the list
