In most cases, using the easily editable Clarify-supplied directives files for purging and archiving is sufficient. However, if new directives files are needed for new objects or for a significantly altered schema, the –
command parameter can be used to iteratively create new directives files. These new files can be used for archiving and purging, but not for exporting, which requires a simple directives file structure.generate
