Purge/archive directives files can be used interchangeably for both purge and archive operations, which function almost identically. These files define the objects and related objects to be purged or archived from the database. The only difference between purging and archiving is that purging removes data from the database and archiving does not.
ArchiveManager directive grammar is a superset of Dataex directive grammar – the ArchiveManager and Dataex directives files achieve similar results.
