Relinking ArchiveManager for Oracle

The first time ArchiveManager is run for Oracle, a library loading error may be issued. The libraries used to build ArchiveManager are operating system specific and database version specific. If this error is issued, relink ArchiveManager with the system libraries.

To relink libraries:

Run the command relink.oracle, a UNIX shell command script. The command will then ask questions about the Oracle Libraries:

• What is the directory for the Oracle PRO*C library?
  Enter the directory where the Oracle libraries are stored. The Oracle client PRO*C compiler must be loaded on the system so that the libraries are available.
• What is the Oracle library? [ clntsh ]
  The Oracle library is most likely [ clntsh ]. If so, hit return. If not, enter the correct Oracle library.
