Local menus are found in the right-hand column of an open object and control that object's behavior. For example, when viewing a case, you can use the local menu to log notes, log phone calls, log research, dispatch, close, move, change status, etc.
The local menu items that appear for an object are condition-sensitive. In other words, Dovetail Agent knows about the current condition or status of the object, and only displays options for that context. If an object is dispatched, for example, the Actions menu will display Accept and Reject, but it will not display Dispatch (as you cannot dispatch an object that is already dispatched).
