Install the Dovetail Seeker and Dovetail Seeker Proxy
If using attachments, Dovetail Seeker and Dovetail Seeker Proxy must be installed. However, to serve the attachments in Dovetail Agent the files do not have to be indexed in Dovetail Seeker.
Install the latest version of the Dovetail Seeker (2.4.0 or higher). Follow all Dovetail Seeker installation instructions, specifically:
install Dovetail Seeker Proxy
apply required schema changes
verify the IIS Setup, including the prerequisites.
Configure Dovetail Seeker to serve attachments:
set seekerWebService.defaultResourceTimeout configuration key in seeker.config file. This key sets the download token timeout for files attached Cases, Solutions, CRs or other objects as well as from history lists. Values for this key are indicated by both duration and type - e.g. 5d=5 days, 30s=30 seconds, 24h=24 hours, etc. This key is not provided in the installation-provided seeker.config file and the default value is 7 days if none specified.
