Cache Updates

The Dovetail Agent cache is updated upon application startup. You can also manually update it using Dovetail Admin or a script. This script can be run manually, or it can run as a Windows Scheduled Task.

To implement the cache script

1. Modify update_cache.bat (located in the script directory): set the path to update_cache.vbs.
2. Modify update_cache.vbs: set the URL variable to be the full URL to the update_cache.asp page.

To execute the cache script

Run update_cache.bat. The Dovetail Agent cache will update.

To make update_cache.bat a scheduled task

1. Add the task to Windows by going to Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks > Add Scheduled Task.
2. Follow the prompts.
