Because Dovetail SchemaEditor modifies the physical schema of the database, the database user who performs these operations must have the proper permissions to be able to make these modifications. Dovetail SchemaEditor will not validate or enforce these privileges - the enforcement of these operations is left up to the RDBMS. Typically, Dovetail SchemaEditor connects to the database as a system administrator, such as the "sa" account.
