The fcCallCenter application is now included with Dovetail Agent. The first functionality included in this new application is an enhanced version of the Interaction forms.
The Queries application is now included in Dovetail Agent. Using this facility, a user can easily create, save, execute, and iconify queries against certain Clarify objects such as cases and change requests. Refer to the Queries section of this document for more details.
This release also includes a new user utility - the rawhtml><%=Dovetail.fcColorApplicaction%></rawhtml> module. This functionality allows you to select user-defined colors for virtually any part of the Dovetail Agent. For example, you can allow each user to select colors for the menu bars on web pages, as well as color code rows in grids for easy identification. A new tab has been added to the user profile, which will allow each user to select the colors they wish to view.
Full commitment functionality has been added to this release, including creating, updating, and fulfilling commitments.
The Find By ID functionality on the console has been enhanced, making better use of the screen real estate. A new user preference has also been added to set the default object type for the Find By ID functionality.
The My Commitments application has a new mode, List View. This mode allows a user to see all of their Commitments in one table, and the user is able to filter and sort their Commitments. Commitments can be opened, then updated or fulfilled from any of the modes of My Commitments.
In previous versions, Microsoft's Posting Acceptor was used to allow Attachments to be uploaded. As of this version, Posting Acceptor is no longer used. Instead, an ASP component called aspSmartUpload is used. This component is much more stable and offers additional functionality.
This release also includes the Enhanced Email Out (EEO) functionality, allowing more robust email features from within the Dovetail Agent. Refer to the EEOsection of this document for more details.
This version of Dovetail Agent supports Integrated Windows Security, allowing a seamless logon between Windows and Dovetail Agent. Refer to the Integrated Windows Security section for more details.
URLs in text areas (such as Case History, Log Notes, etc.) are now supported. For example, if the case history contains the string http://www.dovetailsoftware.com, then this will be presented as a hyperlink that the user can click on.
