Security Configuration

The FCDdeManager Control is an ActiveX control that hosts the Microsoft.NET Framework. The .NET Framework provides extra security on top of regular ActiveX security that allows for further permission beyond ActiveX's simple "Allow All or Deny All" model.

The FCDdeManager Control requires a few more permissions than the default permissions allowed for .NET components running from the web.

This section describes how to manually and automatically configure the permissions. Permissions must be configured on each client computer.

Note: We recommend that you work with your domain and/or security administrators when configuring security options.
