Because FTS works by querying an external database, data restriction cannot be applied to FTS queries. Therefore, when FTS returns results, the results are not filtered to exclude the restricted items. Users will potentially be able to see restricted items in the result grid. However, the restriction is applied when a user tries to open the restricted result items (such as case, solution, CR, etc.). This limitation can be corrected, however it will cost in terms of a small performance hit.
