Picking a Part

Once picked, the Pick column at the top of the form and the Picked By column in the bottom grid are updated. The quantity columns in the Selected Location's Inventory Parts grid are not changed until the Pick Part action is released, because picking a part does not relate to any physical movement of stock or any financial transaction. It reserves a part, making the part picked unavailable for other requests. The part remains locked until the part is unpicked, the part request is closed, or the part request is fulfilled.

To pick a part

1. From the Part Request Order Processing form, choose the Pick tab.
2. In the Locations Stocking the Part grid, select the inventory location to pick from, OR in the Selected Location's Inventory Parts grid, select the part to pick.
3. To pick the selected part, click the Pick button.
