Once an order has been accepted, parts can be picked to fill the order. When selecting a part to pick, select the oldest part in stock. Within any given location, Dovetail Logistics automatically places the oldest part at the top of the list, because it is a FIFO (first in/first out) system. When a part is picked, a lock is placed on the part so that another user cannot pick the same part. A Pick Part action is released either when the order is fulfilled or when the part request has been closed.
