Main Pane The center pane of the console displays information for the currently selected Wipbin or Queue. Items can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the column header. To open any of the items in the pane, click the link in the ID Number column or double-click the entire row.
The Select All checkbox will toggle the selection of all the displayed items in a Wipbin or Queue.
The Actions button will show the context menu for selected items. If there is only one type selected, the menu for that type will be displayed. If there are mixed types selected, the global context menu will be displayed.
Each object shown in the console for a Wipbin or Queue has a drag handle on the left edge, which can be used to drag and drop the object (or selected objects) to a new Wipbin or Queue.
Control Pane A number of different items on the left Control Pane allow you to operate the console:
Global Menus: The global menus (User, New, Select, and Setup) are located at the top of the pane. For more information, see the Menu System section.
Find By ID: The Find By ID functionality allows easy access to common objects, including cases, subcases, solutions, change requests, interactions, and part requests. To use, choose the object type, type in an ID number, and click the Find link.
Recent Objects: The Recent Objects dropdown list shows a list of objects the user has recently opened. To open any of the objects, select it in the list. To open the top item, click the Open button. For more information, see the Recently Opened Object Monitor section.
Wipbins and Queues: My Wipbins and My Queues display the number of open items within each wipbin and queue the user has access to. The Wipbin or Queue is highlighted when it is the one displayed in the main pane.
My Queries:The user's iconified queries appear in this list. Click on a query in the list to execute it. To manage the queries in this list, go to Select > My Queries from the global menu. For more information, see the Queries section.
Reports: A list of Dovetail Agent's system reports, including Case Trends, Case Reports, and Dashboard Views. For more information, see the Graphical Reporting section.
