Dovetail Email Agent requires no additional software to be installed on the server (other than the .NET Framework) and connects directly to any POP3 and SMTP server. POP3 and SMTP are the two main email standards which all Internet email servers must implement in order to interact with each other. This allows Dovetail Email Agent to work against whichever email solution your organization has chosen to install (including Unix™ and Linux mail servers as well as other Windows-based email servers).
