Dovetail Email Agent accepts incoming emails in many different encodings and sends out email using Unicode (UTF-8) formatting. For more information on configuring your Clarify™ database to accept Unicode data, please consult the Dovetail SDK documentation section on "Enabling Unicode Data Storage".
Outgoing email that Dovetail Email Agent sends out is generated using XSLT templates which can be customized. These customizations can include Unicode characters. An example would be a template that is all in Japanese for Japanese customers.
Unicode supports most human written languages and other forms of written expression. This includes, but is not limited to, Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc), Middle-East (Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, etc), Cyrillic, Slavic, and many more character sets.
