Enhancements

• Almost all of the workflow actions (Accept, Dispatch, Yank, etc.) for Cases, Subcases, Solutions, Action Items, Part Requests, and Change Requests are processed in dialog boxes instead of pop-up windows.
• Customizing Query Results - Users can now customize the result columns in the queries that they use. Columns can be reordered, columns can be excluded, column widths and column titles can be changed. The changes for each query are saved as each user makes their choices.
• The number of search results is now saved to the dt_search table when saving searches.
• Console - Improved multiple column sorting - when the queue or wipbin being displayed has a large number of items, the console shows pages of records instead of displaying all the records at one time. The sorting done for the subsets of data now sorts correctly for up to six columns.
• Console - Each user can set the default number of rows to display in the console grid. When the number of items in a wipbin or queue exceeds this setting, a footer is added at the bottom of the grid to allow the next page of records to be added to the grid.
• Search - Dovetail Agent now handles files returned as search results. These could be attachments, such as case or solution attachments, and/or files such as product documentation. (Note: Requires Dovetail Seeker 2.0 or higher)
• Search - The search box now includes auto-complete, meaning users will see suggested search terms automatically complete as they type. (Note: Requires Dovetail Seeker 2.0 or higher)
• Added a new Privilege for Reopen Subcase to allow the distinction for that action from Reopen Case. The subcase.asp page uses the new privilege.
• Queries - added ability to specify Connection Timeout property if queries are executed against a server specified by config item.

New Script

• Added upgrade_queries.js script that should be used to update the SQL saved in the database for each record in the ce_query table. Follow the directions found in scripts/upgrade_queries_readme.txt, and execute the upgrade_queries.bat file to upgrade the SQL.

Bug Fixes

• Addresses - Changing a zipcode for a new or existing address was displaying an error message if there were no zipcodes loaded into the zipcode table. Now the reverse zipcode process is skipped if there are no records in the zipcode table.
• Queries - SQL statements are now retrieved from the ce_query record every time the query needs to be built and/or executed.
• Queries - Substitution variables are now processed correctly at runtime. The variables were being treated like literals, i.e. where login_name = 'MyLoginName' was being used as a where clause at runtime.
• Queries - fixed issue where column names with single quotes would cause an error, i.e. "Activity User's Site".
• Queries - fixed issue where parameter substitution was not being done if queries are executed against a server specified by config item.
• Subcases - When creating a Subcase from the Case page, a "no row is selected" error would appear when trying to update the console. The subcase2.asp page was corrected to pass the correct subcase id to the console page for the refresh.
• Assign - When trying to Assign a Case or Subcase after Accepting it from a queue, the user would get an "ownership has changed" error message. The ownership of the Case/Subcase was not being updated after the Assign action.
• Console - When an empty wipbin or queue was displayed on the console, the "There are no items in the QA Test wipbin at this time...." message was not removed from the console when a case (or other object) was moved into the empty wipbin/queue and displayed in the grid.
• New Change Requests were not being added to the console, but updates to existing CRs were refreshing.
• Site - the Save/Cancel/Discard dialog was not correctly saving the form before the form was closed.
• Console Preview - fixed the Preview to show Action Items, Part Request Details, and Solutions. Reworked how the console rows get highlighted and how they trigger the Preview Panel contents to be filled.

Other Updates

• Scripts - The convert_flashes.js script had the user name and password hard-coded in the file, and now it uses an fc.env file copied to the scripts folder for its database connection information.
• Schema - Changed the name of agent_schema6.sch to agent_schema.xml, since it is a reference for changes to be made to the XML schema for version 6 and later of Amdocs schema.

Upgrading to Version 4.4

1. Install the latest version of the Dovetail SDK
2. To take advantage of search enhancements, install the latest version of Dovetail Seeker (version 2.0 or higher)
3. Add the following items to your database schema. They are documented in the schema file, found in the \schema directory.
   • New Field on table_dt_search: results
   • New Table: ce_query_col
4. To install the updates and the new files included with this release, copy all of the files under the \pages directory to the system.
5. Merge in any of your customizations with the new baseline pages.
