Enhancements

• Added support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and 11.
• Cases - Generic activity logs can now be easily added to the case history.
• Console - Added batch action results message after console refreshes.
• Queries - Enhanced the ability to execute workflow actions on query results.
• The Multi-level Drop-down List Helper now handles special characters.

Bug Fixes

• Console:
  • The preview pane will now be cleared if the source object gets removed from console list.
  • The batch actions menus are now consistent with granted privileges.
  • The batch actions menus and actions bar will float to remain at the top of the area on scroll and resize.
• Switch User - additional checks have been added to prevent certain actions depending on application setup and privileges granted.
• Cases - Disallow case create until a contact is selected.
• Logistics - Improved performance for Pick operation. Requires Dovetail SDK 3.2.8 or higher.
• Queries - Added ability to open an object if its objid is returned by a view.
• Change Status - Fixed an issue where acting user's login ID was not recorded.
• Parent/Child Cases - Fixed an issue where only one case would be attached to a parent case even if multiple child cases were selected.
• Activity Log - Fixed an error where activity logs for attachments to a workaround were being linked to the wrong probdesc record.
• Admin - Fixed an issue with errors being reported on the list of active sessions.
• Flashes Anywhere - Fixed an issue where a wrong alert table was selected if more than one of them were defined for the same base table. Requires a corresponding Dovetail Admin upgrade to version 3.1 or higher. Contact Dovetail Support for more details.
• Attachments - Fixed an issue where Add Attachment activity entry records were incorrectly related to the Solution.

Infrastructure

• The EEO (Enhanced Email Out) functionality (client-side Outlook integration) now uses the Outlook Redemption library. This library must be installed on client machines that wish to use EEO.
• To allow Dovetail Agent to work properly with Microsoft Internet Explorer, the web application must be configured to use specific HTTP headers.

Upgrading to Version 4.6

1. Install the latest version of the Dovetail SDK (version 3.2.8 or higher)
2. Add the following items to your database schema. They are documented in the schema file, found in the \schema directory.
   • New Column: workflow_type_id on the ce_object table
   • New Column: is_idNumber on the ce_col table
3. To install the updates and the new files included with this release, copy all of the files under the \pages directory to the system.
4. Configure the web application to add HTTP headers that will enforce the correct compatibility level. Refer to the Configure the Web Server for specific details.
5. Merge in any of your customizations with the new baseline pages. Chapter Customizing Dovetail Agent contains important information about making your customizations compliant with Microsoft Internet Explorer version higher than 8.
6. For any users wishing to use EEO (Enhanced Email Out), install the Outlook Redemption library on each client machine. Install Redemption Library
