Dovetail Logistics is a family of applications which allows users to work with RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) and inventory parts. Like Clarify's ClearLogistics, Dovetail Logistics contains many different pieces of functionality. We recommend that you determine which pieces of functionality make sense for your implementation.
Dovetail Logistics currently ships with functionality in the following areas:
Order Operations: This is basic RMA processing. With this functionality, users can create, modify, and close RMAs. Workflow operations (Dispatch, Accept, Reject, Status Change, etc.) can also be used on RMA details. Dovetail Logistics' order operations are very similar to that in ClearLogistics.
Spares Management: Users can pick (reserve), fulfill, ship, and receive inventory against part requests (RMAs). It is very similar to ClearLogistics, but it contains a number of improvements and enhancements.
Depot Repair: With Depot Repair, users can manage labor, materials, transactions, ECOs (engineering change orders), and upgrades. It contains much of the same functionality as the ClearLogistics versions, but it also varies a bit from the Clarify version.
