Dovetail Agent is privclass-enabled. Specific items can be turned on or off in the web forms for specific privclasses. This functionality allows the same (or greater) level of flexibility you have in the Clarify Classic Client to decide who can do which operations. Virtually every Dovetail Agent operation can be controlled by web privclasses, which allows for a great deal of customizations.
The web privclasses for Dovetail Agent work off of the same privclasses that were already set up for your Classic Client.
The only difference between Clarify's privclass structure and Dovetail Agent's is that Clarify disables menu items when they are not available. Dovetail Agent, on the other hand, removes the items from the menu so that users do not see the choice.
Use Dovetail Admin to administer web privclasses. Refer to the Dovetail Admin User Guide for more information.
When Dovetail Agent is installed, all web items are initially turned off for users. You enable web items for the privclasses you select.
