Dovetail Agent allows you to search your Dovetail CRM data using a powerful and familiar Google-like search interface. There is a basic search page, an advanced search page, and a search tips page that includes many examples of searching. In addition, Dovetail Agent shows the latest 10 searches for each user, along with the 10 most popular searches across all users.
Dovetail Agent performs its searches by communicating with the Dovetail Seeker web application. The Dovetail Seeker web application is what actually performs the search and returns the results back to Dovetail Agent.
Dovetail Agent automatically determines which objects (cases, solutions, etc.) are available for searching from the Seeker application, and allows for filtering based on these objects. So any changes made to the Seeker index specifications are automatically reflected within Dovetail Agent.
